More information became available after police attended a matter in Dauphin on Thursday afternoon.
At 4:35 pm yesterday, Dauphin RCMP was called to address a disturbance at a residence on Park Crescent.
Upon arrival, officers were met by a man armed with a knife who threatened them and barricaded himself in the home.
After 90 minutes of negotiation, the 33-year-old James Guiboche of Dauphin surrendered to police and received several charges including weapons charges, and several counts of failure to comply.
