This year's Journey for Sight Snowmobile ride will wrap up this weekend.

Participants left Swan River Friday morning, with stops in Grandview and Gilbert Plains before arriving in Dauphin late this afternoon.

Dauphin Lions Club President Dean Lounsbury says the event has been a tremendous success so far.

"If i was to guess, and of course not all of the money is not in as of yet, but I think we are pushing twenty thousand dollars so far.  The guys have done a bang-up job of collecting money with still more to come."

The ride wraps up late Saturday afternoon at the Brandon Airport.

Money raised through the ride will go to the Eye Bank at Misericordia Hospital in Winnipeg, with some proceeds also going to the new eye centre in Swan River.
