The daily high of 22.8 degrees Celsius was set in 1897. On Monday, the daytime high reached 24.9 degrees Celsius. The temperature in Brandon has since plummeted as Tuesday's high is expected to be eight degrees Celsius while temperatures in the mid-teens are expected for the remainder of the week.

In the Parkland, a new topic of discussion has emerged in McCreary. The previous record high of 24 degrees Celsius, set in 1986, has been surpassed, with the new record reaching 25 degrees Celsius on Monday.

According to the Weather Centre of Manitoba, the hottest community on record for Monday was Melita, which reached a temperature of 25.6 degrees Celsius.
