The Dauphin and District Chamber of Commerce says it looks forward to working with Dauphin's new MLA-elect.
Executive Director Stephen Chychota says the Chamber has yet to meet with Brad Michaleski since Tuesday's election, but are trying to set up a meeting.
Chychota says the Chamber has not worked out any specific policies they want Michaleski to push for, but just for general issues affecting the Dauphin area.
"Definitely on the topics like rural economic development, tourism, making sure there's marketable jobs to get young talent in town, and making sure we're economically competitive."
Chychota believes strong cooperation with local MLA's will likely mean more funding will come from the province for local initiatives.
The Dauphin Chamber is looking to meet with Michaleski in the near future, and hopes concrete policies can be worked out by early this summer.
