It was an early morning for the Selkirk RCMP yesterday, as they responded to an armed robbery on Main Street in that community,
Yesterday, March 15th, at approximately 2:55 am, RCMP attended this report and found a male armed with an edged weapon who'd threatened an employee, stolen items and fled.
A description was obtained and officers immediately made patrols in the area and located the male.
He was arrested without incident and was found to be wanted on three outstanding warrants.
Gary Richard, 39, was charged with Robbery with a Weapon, three counts of failure to Comply and Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose.
He was remanded into custody.
