Motivational speaker, Teddy Anderson stopped by to talk to students about peace, unity, balance, harmony and respect that needs to be in the world. And he did so through hoop dancing and the medicine wheel.
Grade 2 student, Morgan Fleck says that he feels good about what he learned.
"It made me feel like more people will be kind to me and to one another. It just made me feel really good."
Anderson's interactive presentation involved him dancing with 30 hoops creating various shapes that are designed to reflect the forms of nature and share a message of inclusion. He then explained how the hoop dance reflects the need for cooperation among all people and will connect the performance to the messages of inclusion, unity, harmony and balance.
Jakob Dewarle, grade 6 student says, that he learned something very valuable.
"To not criticize someone on the colour of their skin or their language or their culture. You just shouldn't criticize that."
