The Dauphin Kings used an outstanding third period to earn a lead in their best-of-seven series with the Waywayseecappo Wolverines.

The Wolverines had no answers for the Kings in the third period as Dauphin scored three times in the final 20 minutes as they ran away with a 4-1 win. Sebastian Stone opened up the scoring in the game as the Wolverines held a 1-0 lead after 22 minutes.

Ty Pratte scored early in the second to tie it and Dauphin opened up the game in the third. Gavin Nemis (1) scored the game-winner early in the third while Sheldon Shyiak (1) and Ethan Stewart (1) also scored for Dauphin.

Cole Sheffield made 20 saves in the victory. Dauphin takes a 1-0 lead in the best-of-seven. Game two will be played on Sunday night from the Arena Complex in Waywayseecappo.
