A fire in Ochre River engulfed and destroyed a house in the community over the weekend.
"Just after 3 on Sunday morning, police were called to a structure fire in Ochre," said Rob Tuff, Dauphin RCMP Constable. "When they arrived on the scene, they determined that the homeowner and lone occupant was outside. The fire started in front of the home. Members of the Ochre River Fire Department and later the Dauphin Fire Department were called to extinguish the blaze."
"The fire is being investigated with help from the Office of the Fire Commissioner as well," he added. "A cause has not yet been determined."
No major injuries or fatalities were reported.
