Manitoba waterways could have been impacted by a Saskatchewan controversial diversion project to drain salt water into them.
The Quill Lakes Watershed Association planned to drain saline water into the Qu’Appelle water system, which would flow into the Assiniboine River.
The proposal has been shelved, because the group ran out of time to begin construction on the project, to take place this Spring.
