The tsunami warning has ended for the BC coast after a large earthquake struck the coast of Alaska early this morning.

The U.S. Geological Survey reported the quake’s strength at 7.9, with a depth of 25 kilometres, and at least three aftershocks resulting.

Emergency Info B.C. stated the warning was in effect for the west coast of Vancouver Island.
