Property owners in Dauphin who have not paid property taxes in the past 3 years are working to keep their property from being part of the 2018 tax sale.

City of Dauphin Assistant CAO, Sharla Griffiths, explains how a property within the city gets placed in the sale:

“People who have not paid their property taxes, the City of Dauphin have chosen for 3 consecutive years those properties are eligible for tax sale. Which means that they go onto the auction block and someone can bid on them and the successful bidder will gain ownership of that property.

The City of Dauphin Tax Sale is scheduled for November 21st.
