Four First Nations from the Interlake are to share a 90-million-dollar payout for being flooded out of their homes.

A judge approved the settlement by members of the Lake St. Martin, Dauphin River, Little Saskatchewan and Pinaymootang First Nations.

The 2011 flooding was caused when the government diverted water from the Assiniboine River to reduce the risk of flooding in Winnipeg.
