A Sagkeeng First Nation minor hockey coach is facing charges of uttering threats at two teen referees at a game this past November.
Coach Kyle Fontaine became frustrated after his player was speared in the groin and many infractions went without penalties.
When Fontaine questioned the refs, it escalated and he threatened to cut off the ref’s head.
So far Fontaine has received a 5 game hockey suspension from Hockey Manitoba, a lifetime ban from coaching from the Eastman Minor Hockey Association and charges from the RCMP.
