Delays to the $61 million addtion to the Winnipeg Health Sciences Centre have pushed back the completed date to 2019.
Another setback is the project has been estimated at $12 million over budget.
The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority states there are a number of reasons for delays.
There are funding issues surrounding planned equipment for the project and it’s unclear if the provincial government will cover the extra costs.
