A family from Waterhen is celebrating after learning that a decision on their application for residency has been reversed.
Originally from Colorado, the Warkentins moved to Manitoba in order to open an outfitting business and applied for permanent residency in 2016.
The application was initially rejected when immigration officials said that health issues with their daughter Karalynn would put a strain on Canada's health care system.
Karalynn's mother Karissa calls the decision reversal the best christmas present ever.
