Last night, as part of the pre-budget consultations, the provincial government held a consultation with the public in Dauphin.
The Minister of Finance, Cameron Friesen, along with local MLA Brad Michaleski; MLA for Swan River, Rick Wowchuk; and MLA for Riding Mountain, Greg Nesbitt heard what constituents in Dauphin had to say about the upcoming 2018 budget.
A number of concerns came up such as health care, the MRI machine for Dauphin, taxation of farmland and lack of cell phone service in rural areas.
Residents in the Parkland have another opportunity to share their input into the 2018 budget at the pre-budget consultation hosted by Michaleski on Thursday, at 7:00 in the evening at the Ste. Rose Curling Rink Lounge.
