A ship has docked in the northern town of Churchill, bringing 2-point-2 million litres of propane to heat the town through the winter.
The town usually gets its heating fuel by rail, which is its only land link to the rest of Manitoba, but the rail line washed out in the spring and hasn't been fixed.
The ship will also carry away a Via Rail train that's been stranded in Churchill.
Some people in the town had discussed forming a blockade to prevent the train from leaving by ship, but the town issued a request Friday asking people to allow workers to get the train loaded.
