The Manitoba Legislature was evacuated this afternoon.
The evacuation occurred during today’s Question Period for a possible security breach.
Reports say the evacuation happened around 2:30 this afternoon.
Winnipeg Fire Department District Chief Barry Carpenter says a call came in about a suspicious substance, but nothing was found. He also says it was a "prank call or a false alarm."
People are now re-entering the Manitoba Legislature nearly an hour and a half after the building was evacuated.
