RCMP have laid charges in the death of a 19-year-old female from Pointe du Bois.
Jordan Belyk, 20, of no fixed address, is charged with Manslaughter. He remains in custody.
The victim called 911 shortly after 6:30 in the morning yesterday and was in need of emergency assistance. Police responded immediately. The victim was suffering from life-threatening injuries and was transported to local hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.
Responding members arrested Belyk in the area shortly after.
The investigation continues and police remain on scene.
