There has been vandalism to the number 4 fairway at the Dauphin Lake Golf Resort over the weekend.
The damage was discovered Saturday morning according to Ray Karlson General Manager at Dauphin Lake Golf Resort.
“It appears that some vehicle entered the grounds, we’re not quite sure or determined what type of vehicle it is. It’s either a small truck or SUV or side by side vehicle that decided to take a joy ride out on our golf course. It seems very deliberate in exactly what he did because we can’t seem to find a whole bunch of damage on the course outside of he backed on to number 4 green, stopped and then spun his tires out so he dug holes and completely destroyed the green. Went down the number 4 fairway, ran over one maple tree, a young maple tree snapped it off, and exited the course. It seems like something that was very deliberately done there, verses somebody going onto the course that wanted to do a lot of destruction.”
This is not the first case of vandalism this summer, earlier this year another case of damage was the result of vandalism.
According to the RCMP the case is under investigation.
