The Barker School Playground committee is partnering with Federated Co-operative limited and Dauphin Co-op in a fundraiser they are calling “Fuel good Day.”
Dauphin co-op is donating 5 cents for every litre of fuel sold on September 19th. Federated co-op is matching another 5 cents. Jeff Michasiw with the Barker Parent Council talks about the effort they are fundraising for, and the work that has been done so far.
“Presently we are half way to our goal we’ve got around $65 thousand and we need around 120. There have been a number of fundraising efforts going on in the past. We’re always going forward, there’s a very dedicated group of individuals at the parent partnership council at Barker School. We’ve constantly things coming out for fundraising ideas and events.”
Stopping by at any Dauphin Co-op gas bar location on Tuesday the 19th will raise 10 cents a litre for the playground at Barker School.
