The Grandview & District Recreation Commission was one of 17 lucky recipients to receive a grant from Farm Credit Canada.
The project the group is working towards is a multi-use facility for Wilson Park.
Grandview Recreation Director, Jill Wiebe, provides some details.
“We have received $15,000 from Farm Credit Canada as part of the AgriSpirit grant application,” stated Wiebe. “Our $15,000 we received from FCC is going towards our multi-use facility which is a building that will be built in Wilson Park and it will service our campgrounds. It’s going to have bathrooms, showers, all accessible to people in wheelchairs or with disabilities. We also have a concession that is also going to be in the building.”
The Grandview & District Recreation Commission hopes to start the project this fall and the total estimated cost is 80 thousand dollars.
