The Manitoba government has appointed or reappointed seven members to the boards of three Insurance Councils.
One of the 7 members is Dauphin Super 8 owner Harvey Armstrong who has been reappointed as a General Insurance Council board member.
Armstrong explains what his position does.
"The role is public protection, the insurance councils primary role is to make sure that insurance business is being conducted properly according to the rules everyone is license and training and has ongoing training."
Armstrong was reappointed at the end of his original 3 year term.
