Misconceptions around dairy, gluten, and farming practices can hurt the agriculture industry`s image.

Food misinformation and fears can is found in a significant number of places. Brenna Mahoney, Director of Communications and Stakeholder Relations for Cereals Canada, wrote "Food Fear: A Call for Action" for Cereals Canada. Mahoney speaks about some resources farmers can use to combat the misinformation.

“Ì think that there are some great resources out there for people to go to. I know that’s a big comment farmers do talk about is, `o.k. Where do I go for information and some solid facts?` Crop Life Canada is a wonderful organization who’s doing a lot of great work. Their website has tonnes of information out there for you. Lots of contacts, Food and Farm Care they are another great organization. The Healthy Grains Institute.” 

Mahoney also says social media, such as Twitter, are powerful tools to combat misconceptions about farming.
