A processing plant in Yorkton, Saskatchewan is expanding.
For more than 20 years Grain Millers Inc. has been a leading manufacturer of conventional and organic whole grain ingredients.
According to Terry Tyson, Director of Grain Procurement, whole grain ingredients can be used in many products.
"Our finished product our food products, and essentially we can make kind of the full gamut of what you could make out of an oat [...] oat flakes or what you call rolled oaks, porridge that type of thing, whole oats, steel cut oat grown and flour brand kind of all the product range that you can make the food out an oat with."
The expansion will increase the facility to double its size as well as create more jobs at the facility.
