Dauphin's supposed MRI machine is raising concerns from the Manitoba Government and General Employees' Union.
The machine which was supposed to be installed last month at the Dauphin Regional Health Centre is currently under review by the current provincial government.
MGEU President Michelle Gawronsky is concerned about the pending decisions and has many questions surrounding the entire situation.
"The staff has been trained, you know the training then is not going to be used and it was a waste of their members time in getting trained and it was a waste of the employers time in providing the training [...] Where is the MRI? Why isn't here? You know the room is ready, the staff are ready, the community is ready, what's the hold up?"
Diagnostic Service Manitoba says DSM has not yet directed the manufacturer to proceed with building the MRI.
