A Wait Times Reduction Task Force, established by the Minister of Health, Seniors and Active Living, is holding a public consultation to hear recommendations on how to shorten wait times in emergency rooms.
The meeting is scheduled for tonight in Dauphin, at the St. Viator's Roman Catholic Church, starting at 6:30 p.m.
Dr. John Ross, Wait Times Reduction Task Force Co-Chair, notes that the committee cannot reach every community.
"We are going to do as many as we possibly can. I think there's 73 hospitals or versions of them around this Province, so we just can't possibly get to every one of them. We're really doing samplings, and picking a geographic line between Point A and Point B and then we're hitting spots along the way, and trying to make it work so it works that way."
The task force will forward their recommendations on for review.
