A head-on collision between a car and a pickup truck has killed one man and severely injured another.
RCMP say a westbound car on Highway 2, east of Souris, tried to pass a semi-trailer and hit an eastbound pickup truck around 8 yesterday morning.
The 20-year-old man driving the car was pronounced dead at the scene; the 57-year-old man in the truck was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries -- police say he wasn't wearing a seatbelt.
Visibility was poor at the time of the collision, according to police. The investigation continues.
