Tomorrow and Saturday in Brandon and Virden, Prairie Mountain Health will be hosting forty eight students from the Max Rady College of Medicine for a workshop.
The workshop is aimed at promoting the benefits of practicing medicine in rural communities.
Rural Interest Group Co-President, and former Dauphin King Alexander Mackinnon says there is more to the workshop than just being inside the medical facilities.
"The other great thing is that we show them what they can do outside of the hospital and clinic, in rural Manitoba, that I think, a lot of people aren't aware of all of the fun you can have outside of the city. Showing them a fun time in Brandon or Virden and getting them to interact with the community, is to me, equally as important as showing them the clinic and hospital."
The students will be in Brandon tomorrow, and Virden Saturday.
