A winter storm warning remains in effect for the southeast corner of Manitoba.
Environment Canada was calling for up to 20 centimetres of snow by midday today in that area.
An update says there's been 15 centimetres in Sprague by 4 this morning, and 7 centimetres in Winnipeg. Environment Canada says 2-4 centimetres more will fall before the storm tapers off.
Strong, northwesterly winds continue as well, up to 60 kilometres an hour in the Red River Valley. Several highways southwest of Winnipeg are closed, and Environment Canada says there are several reports of cars off the road.
