Dauphin Fire Department has confirmed a structure fire in Dauphin on Christmas Eve to be suspicious in nature.
The fire occurred around 3:00 am on December 24th, with DFD crews extinguishing the flames at 9:30 am.
There are no confirmed injuries or esitmate of damages at this time, however Dauphin Fire Chief Cam Abrey says the house is "A complete loss".
Abrey added that the home owner was not home at the time of the fire.
"Once the fire was brought under control, firefighters went back into the building and they searched the building top to bottom and came back with an all clear. There were no occupants inside the building, it turns out that the owner of the building had actually left town for Christmas and was with friends and family."
