An alleged child abduction in Brandon has resulted in the arrest of three people.
RCMP say officers were dispatched to the call of an abduction of an 11-year-old girl in Brandon yesterday evening. Police were given a vehicle description, and located a suspect vehicle within minutes, heading east at the intersection of Highways 1 and 5.
According to police, two adult men, one adult female, and the 11-year-old girl were in the car. Police say one of the adults was a relative of the girl's.
Police also say a search of the vehicle turned up open liquor and cocaine.
Two of the people arrested are facing charges of abduction of a person under 14 and possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking. The remaining person is charged with unlawful transportation of liquor in a motor vehicle.
