The first parking ban of the season goes into effect in the City of Dauphin this evening.
The ban goes into effect at 6 tonight so snow removal crews can go to work.
Citizens are asked not to park on city streets in the downtown, Main Street, River, and 3rd Street Southwest areas.
Any vehicles and equipment parked in these areas during the ban may be ticketed or towed.
