The Province of Manitoba is issuing high wind alerts for Lake Winnipeg and Lake Manitoba.
Manitoba Infrastructure's Hydrologic Forecasting Centre reports that forecast high winds for tomorrow have resulted in a high wind effect warning for the south basin of both lakes.
Wind speed and direction could raise levels by as much as three to five feet, and could result in significant wave action.
North winds are said to increase throughout the evening upwards of 60 km/h by tomorrow.
Property owners are advised to take precautions.
