A house fire has occurred in the City of Dauphin's south west end.
In a recent Facebook post the DFD says, "Shortly after 4:30 am (November 26th), DFD was dispatched for a structure fire in the south west area of the city. The home was heavily involved upon arrival and it took the firefighters approximately 02 hours to bring under control."
The DFD has now confirmed that one male occupant was located in the home, and has succumbed to his injuries.
The fire had been burning for quite sometime before anyone had noticed and called 911 says the DFD.
The cause of the fire continues to remain under investigation by the Manitoba Office of the Fire Commissioner.
