Farmers in the Parkland recently had the opportunity to explore the possibility of direct marketing their meat products.
 
Manitoba Agriculture, Food and Rural Development, held a presentation at St. Viator's church in Dauphin last week detailing these options from many perspectives. 
 
Business Development Specialist, Jeff Fidyk with the Food & Agri-Product Processing Branch of Manitoba Agriculture says it all begins with the consumer.
 
"In marketing we always start with the consumer, the individuals who make up the market place... what we want to do is identify the people who are essentially our sweet spot to market to."
