The Manitoba Country Music Awards are tonight and Grandview's own Kayla Luky is up for three awards.
They are: female artist of the year, roots artist of the year, and emerging artist.
Luky's been doing the media rounds in Winnipeg over the last couple days. Tonight she'll be playing at the awards show with the house band.
She says she's never used a house band before.
"I've always had my own guys but they're a bunch of great musicians. We just had our first rehearsal today, we ran through the song a couple of times, and we're ready to go."
Plenty of other Parkland representation this year as well. Frannie Klein, Ryan Keown, Kendra Kay, Del Barber, Dauphin's Countryfest, the Watson Art Centre, and some 730 CKDM personalities are all nominated for awards.
