It's too early to tell what a Trump presidency will mean for cattle farmers, according to the general manager of Manitoba Beef Producers.
Ahead of tonight's district meeting in Gilbert Plains, Brian Lemon spoke to CKDM. He says from the beed producers point of view it's early days.
"I don't know that we have any particular insights into how the president-elect is going to follow through on some of the things he maybe said during his election. Certainly trade is important to the beef producers, trade with the US is important to our beef producers."
During the campaign, Trump had mentioned renegotiating NAFTA and cancelling the Trans-Pacific Partnership.
