Work to restore the Stoney Point Beach campground continues, with debris clean-up slated for the fall.
Reeve Dennis Forbes says he's had a look and there's quite a bit of waste and debris from old campsites left to remove. And he says that ought to do it for the fall.
Forbes says they've shored up the ridge next to the lake to try to prevent flooding, and the plan is to put rock on the dyke. The RM will wait for freezing to bring in heavy equipment for that.
Some trees have been removed as well. Forbes says any other campground rebuilding will have to wait for next year.
