This past weekend, members of the Assiniboine Community College Parkland campus student association went door to door collecting non-perishable food item for the local food bank.
Jessica Hominuk says they thought Halloween would be the perfect time to do it.
"You're not really bugging anyone, and we did advertise it with you guys earlier, and a lot of people had their stuff ready already."
They raised a total of just over 650 lbs. of non-perishable food.
