An organization that disposes unwanted pesticides and livestock medications is coming to the Parkland.
Beginning today at Richardson Pioneer in Swan River, CleanFARMS is accepting any unwanted or obsolete agricultural pesticides and livestock medications for free.
Director of Obsolete Collections with CleanFARMS, Russell Hurst says their are key components to the program.
"Really the key success of the program is three parts; the first is the manufacturers ultimately pay for the collection program or the disposal expenditures, the other key components are the local Ag retailers... and ultimately, the third component and often the most important is the farmers who take advantage of a program like this."
CleanFARMS will be in Dauphin tomorrow at the Co-op Ag Centre from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm.
