The number of driving offences Manitoba RCMP charged people with over the Thanksgiving weekend has four digits.
More than 1,000 charges were laid during Manitoba RCMP's Operation Impact from October 7 to 10. Last year it was under 600.
944 of them were traffic-related charges such as speeding and intersection-related offences. 18 were for not wearing seatbelts.
Three people were killed in two collisions over the long weekend. RCMP say 82 people have died in traffic-related incidents this year.
