Even though the Brandon University courses that are being offered at ACC here in Dauphin got a late start, there has been a great enrollment turnout.
Coordinator, Barry Nadolny says, for first term there are five classes being offered and each class has about 10-12 students signed up.
The process didn't get started until July, so the fact that they have this much interest already, Nadolny says it's very exciting.
"We are getting interest from people who may perhaps want to take one or two courses per evening and there are evening courses on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday so that is open to the public and anybody. And it's very rewarding to see people who would like to take one more University course."
BU is also offering a special tuition of $25 per year for anybody over the age of 60 who may be interested in taking the courses. They can take up to 10 classes.
Deadline to register for term one is September 7th.
On August 25th ACC Parkland is having a BBQ at CN park for a meet and greet with some of the instructors of the classes as well as with BU administrators. Everyone is encouraged to attend.
