First Nations Firefighters Compete in Dauphin
Dauphin played host to the Manitoba First Nation Fire Training and Competition this past weekend.
The event was designed to educate and inform people about procedures taken by Manitoba's Indigenous fire departments.
Fire Service Officer for West Region Tribal Council, Darcy Clayton Houle says the event is to bring fire departments closer together.
"The barrier gap of First Nations vs. provincial and stuff like that... we got the foot in the door with the province and we get the training just as well as anybody else."
STARS Air Ambulance provided some training throughout the weekend.

Computer Outage Grounds Delta Flights
If you know someone flying Delta today they may not be leaving yet.
Delta Airlines has grounded flights for this morning because of a global computer outage.
The airline has been tweeting customers, saying its IT systems are down everywhere and that "flights awaiting departure are currently delayed.''
The airline says flights enroute have been operating normally.
A check of the arrivals and departures system at Canada's largest airport -- Toronto's Pearson airport -- showed no Delta cancellations and only some delayed flights. Other flights had arrived on time or early.
