A Brandon storm chasing group has been keeping a close eye on recent tornado activity in Southern Manitoba.
Westman Storm Chasers, have been chasing storms for 5-6 years showcasing amateur storm chasers photos via social media.
Mandi Grayston, who is is an amateur storm chaser with the group says education is key in doing what they do safely. She added, "We're a big proponent of just education... looking back its kind of embarrassing how much we didn't know about storms."
Although the group hasn't yet been able to physically catch any tornadoes this season, they are constantly active over social media in keeping the conversation going.
Greg Johnson, who is a professional storm chaser with Tornado Hunters says the real story isn't really the tornadoes. He added, "It's been a wild stretch here over the past couple of weeks... big story I believe is actually the flooding and how much rain we've had, and for Saskatchewan and Manitoba that effects agriculture."
Johnson is one of North America's top professional storm-chasers and severe weather experts. He's also an accomplished photographer, speaker and workshop leader.
