Manitoba Fire Evacuation
The Manitoba government says strong winds have fanned a fire that's burned at the edge of two northern communities, but no structures have burned so far and there's rain in the forecast.
Evacuation orders remained this weekend for both Easterville and the Chemawawin First Nation, affecting about 2-thousand people.
The province says in a tweet that the fire grew to 650 hectares on Saturday; up from the 350 hectares it was estimated to be the previous day.
Paul White, a spokesman for the province's emergency measures organization, says in an email the fire has now been moving towards a lake.

TransCanada NAFTA Pipeline
TransCanada is moving forward with its intention to seek more than 15 billion dollars U-S in compensation for the U-S government's rejection of the Keystone X-L pipeline.
The Calgary-based company made a formal request for arbitration under the North American Free Trade Agreement on Friday, after giving notice of its intention to make the claim back in January.
The document alleges the denial of the pipeline was politically motivated and contravened the precedent that was set by the approval of similar projects.
The Obama administration rejected TransCanada's application to build the Keystone X-L pipeline last November.

Iceland Votes Canadian Woman As First Lady
Voters in Iceland have elected a new president, and in doing so have made a Canadian woman the Nordic nation's new first lady.
Gudni Johannesson -- a history professor who's never held public office -- has been declared the winner of today's vote, which means his wife, Eliza Reid, who grew up in the Ottawa valley, will assume the role of first lady.
The two met in England, moved to Iceland in 2003, married a year later and now have four children.
The Icelandic presidency is a largely ceremonial role that's been compared to Canada's Governor General.
The 40-year old Reid recently said she felt welcomed by Icelandic society and would consider it a tremendous honour to be first lady.
