Street lights in downtown Dauphin are getting a makeover.
The work is part of the city's downtown revitalization initiative, and follows up on Hydro's replacement of the light tops.
So with Manitoba Hydro, they've replaced the LED light tops themselves, but what we're doing as part of our City of Dauphin revitalization project is to actually paint the poles black to match those new light tops," says economic development manager Carissa Caruk-Ganczar.
She says in addition to the painting, bike racks are going to be installed along Main Street this summer as well as two gateway signs welcoming people into downtown.
They're hoping to have those projects done by the Dauphin street fair at the end of July.
