RCMP say they received a report Sunday morning of a male allegedly returning to a party in Elma with firearms and acting in a threatening manner.
When police arrived, the male had left the party but witnesses described him and the weapons, and officers heard shots nearby.

According to police, 18 firearms and prohibited ammunition were found.
42-year-old Trevor Ewanochko has been charged with 33 counts of various weapons and threat related offences.

Manitoba Among Two Provinces Against Planned CPP Changes
Only Manitoba and Quebec haven't endorsed a plan to enhance the Canada Pension Plan that the rest of the country's finance ministers agreed to at their meeting in Vancouver.
The proposed changes would hike premiums for a typical worker by an extra seven-dollars a month starting in 2019, and by an extra 34-dollars by 2023, to ensure a one-third bigger payout come retirement time.
Employers will also have to contribute more.
Federal Finance Minister Bill Morneau says all provinces are on board except for Manitoba's brand new Tory government, and Quebec, which has its own pension plan and wants to do more analysis.

Canada's Prime Minister Heading to Ukraine in July
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will make his first official visit to Ukraine next month.
He told the Canada-Ukraine Business Forum in Toronto yesterday that he will go to Ukraine after attending the NATO summit in Poland in early July and travelling to the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp to honour the victims of the Holocaust.
Trudeau said Canada and Ukraine share a ''historic'' friendship and he will meet with Ukraine's leaders to discuss key economic issues and reiterate Canada's support for Ukraine as it works to prevent further military incursions from Russia.
