Starting on Thursday morning, Dauphin Rec Services parks staff will be spraying the city's trees with BTK insecticide.
The work is being done to prevent tent caterpillars from eating all the foliage off of trees.
Crews will start with trees along Main Street and work outwards from there.
Some of the spraying will be happening at night, and DRS asks that you stay away from the areas while crews are working.
If you see caterpillars in your yard and would like it sprayed, or you do not want your yard sprayed, you can contact Dauphin Rec Services at 204-622-3150, or the Parks Supervisor at 204-648-4802.
