Conservative MP Dan Mazier has contacted us about his take on the new Canadian Premier, Mark Carney.

"I'm just more disappointed than anything. We need a government that's going to give us a mandate and get on with an election so Canadians can start looking for a leader."

Mazier noting that he lacks confidence in this new prime minister, especially with how little change happened.

"Well, there was no substantial change, 87% of the cabinet is the same, they've just consolidated the jobs"

Mazier also cast doubt on Carney's proposition to eliminate carbon taxes, something the Conservative party has rallied around since they were put into place.

He questioned why a party that created and enforced Carbon Taxes for so long would suddenly remove them.

Just hours after speaking with Mazier, Premier Mark Carney eliminated the consumer portion of the carbon tax, citing widespread division amongst Canadians as the reason.
